Extension: Side & Rear

Project Description:
On this job we added a side and rear extensions along with a full home renovation from start to finish. Steel works were required to take the back of the house out and from there we created an open plan kitchen/diner complete with six metre bifolds and a flat roof with three sky lanterns letting in lots of light and giving the room a very spacious feel. We added a utility room and a downstairs bathroom and even created a front bedroom which is now being occupied as an office.
Alltrades
The full range of all of our trades were required on this job including brickwork, steels, electrical, plumbing, roofing, flooring (LVT), painting, plasterwork, hard landscaping (patio built and covered with Indian stone) & carpentry. Through our contacts we also facilitated glass balustrading and carpeting for the client.

Ben and his crew built us a wrap around one storey extension last year and we couldn’t be more pleased with it – it’s changed the way we live!
Ben was one of the builders recommended to us through our architect, Darren, at Oast Architecture (who Ben regularly partners with in his design and build service). We selected Ben because of the attention he showed to us and the project from the outset – he was the only person who really sat down with us and explained the build and the quote in detail.
Ben took the time to listen to what we wanted throughout the build and worked with us to achieve it. The build was finished to a high standard and he accommodated a lot of bespoke features as the build evolved. Nothing was too much trouble and he was great at giving us options and explaining things as the build progressed.
Despite the build taking place at a time of shortages and price rises he took this in his stride. It’s important when you have a team of builders in your home for the length of time a build takes that you get on with them – we found Ben and his team to be really friendly, exceptionally hardworking and easy to get on with. Not only does Ben have his own team, but he also has a group of sub contractors that work on all of his jobs and we found them to be similarly hardworking, friendly and talented.
We would definitely go to Alltrades Builders again in the future for further work and would recommend them to our friends and family. Thank you guys!
